EYE EXAMINATIONS are available with therapeutic optometrists Dr. Melissa Sommers and Dr. Monica Ramirez. Eye examinations are comprehensive and include thorough case history, pretesting with state of the art Riechert Noncontact Tonometer for glaucoma testing, visual field testing with the new Humphrey FDT (which tests the sensitivity of the peripheral retina), and objective measurement of your prescription with the Topcon Autokeratometer /autorefractor (which measures your prescription and the shape of the cornea). This is followed by a complete visual examination to determine the patients prescription and the status of their focusing and convergence systems. Then the patient is dialated, retinal photos are taken and the doctor checks the ocular health for cataracts and retinal disease. We take the time to make sure that patients see well and have healthy eyes.
