EXAMINATIONS AND FOLLOW-UP CARE

The doctors at Nasa Vision Center specialize in contact lens fitting. Contact lens fitting is a large part of the practice. Not only is a full comprehensive eye examination performed, but special corneal testing including corneal mapping and corneal endothelial cell count are conducted. A contact lens trial fitting helps confirm which lenses are suitable. Before the patient can leave the office with his or her lenses the patient must be instructed in contact lens care. This is a very important part of the fitting process as how the patient treats the lenses will affect comfort and vision. Many patients are apprehensive about insertion and removal which is why Nasa Vision staff spends as much time as necessary teaching the patient to handle their new lenses.
